This is a quirky image, but I ended up liking the shadow of conifers in the ring of the moon, a blue moon. December 31 marked this fairly rare occurrence, a second full moon in a month. The next time New Year's Eve will fall on a blue moon, is in 2028...coinciding with a total lunar eclipse. What's not to like about that!
