The American Bullfrog likes quiet water with vegetation around the edges. They are wary by day, making this close-up unusual, but at night, they make their presence known by performing in chorus. They eat anything they can swallow, even mammals or birds. Bullfrogs locate prey by vision, then catch it with their large sticky tongue.
